Permanent Full Time (Flexible)

Band 8 starting from $122746.59 (prorata) RDO super

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and issues management Yarra City Council is seeking an experience Strategic Communications and Marketing professional to lead and shape our communications efforts.

In this position you will :

  • Provide strategic direction and advice : oversee the planning and execution of integrated internal and external communication strategies
  • Lead reporting and performance tracking
  • Build and manage relationships across the business
  • Oversee and contribute to endtoend communication campaigns
  • Proactively identify emerging issues and develop communication strategies and messaging to mitigate reputational risks
  • In this fastpaced leadership role you will lead a team of communications and marketing specialists on channel strategy development content creation and coordination for our external channels including our website and social media.

    You will have demonstrated experience in collaborating and partnering with stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver high quality and tailored strategic communications.

    This is a new role within the structure so will suit someone who is innovative and creative and wanting to have an impact.
