Venue Manager Hillbilly Cider Shed

Full time / Part time : 1 weekend day required. We are flexible as to whether this is a 4 or 5 day a week role. Salary package above award and depending on experience.

The Hillbilly cider shed is a cellar door and wood fired pizza restaurant based in Bilpin, The Hawkesbury / Blue Mountains, a 20-minute drive from North Richmond. We're a key tourism destination in the area, open 7 days a week. Our aim is to provide relaxed country hospitality to our visitors whilst showcasing our award-winning cider range - including trophies as "Best new world cider 2023-2024" and "Most Successful larger Producer 2023-2024-2025" (Australian cider awards).

• Purpose of the role
• Reporting to the business owners. To oversee the successful running of the cider shed. The role requires someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about leading a team to deliver a 'relaxed but first-class visitor experience. The Manager will be supported by our assistant venue manager.
• Main Duties
• Managing the front of house team - we need a team player who is skilled at working and running the floor.
• Creating the staff roster for the front of house team
• Ensuring human resources compliance
• Implementing training on an ongoing basis for staff
• Managing general bookings and function / event bookings
• Creating and implementing Hillbilly Cider shed events in line with our marketing strategy.
• Working with the owners to develop new business avenues for the shed.
• Ensuring the cider shed is presented in a clean and tidy manner.
• Liaising with the kitchen to ensure smooth communication between front and back of house.

• Qualifications

Must have obtained an NSW RSA.

• Experience
• A minimum of two years' experience in an equivalent role ideally in the hospitality / tourism industry.
• Previous Supervisory experience
• Knowledge
