  • About you

    • Lead, in consultation with the Head of Biodiversity and Habitats, the day-to-day programmatic activities needed to execute the team strategy.
    • Lead the development and execution of initiatives within the Body of Work Projects, from concept through to completion, ensuring they deliver measurable outcomes.
    • Proactively support the Head of Biodiversity and Habitats to prepare for internal reporting and documentation including business cases, impact strategy and measurement, reporting and budget management.
    • Collaborate with the Biodiversity and Habitats team to connect and deliver Projects across the Body of Work to ensure a net positive impact for our beneficiaries.
    • Where relevant, provide technical analysis, input and advice to support the development and execution of the Minderoo Strategy and Focus Areas Bodies of Work.
    • Manage, coordinate and monitor people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to best leverage matrix model, ensuring maximum impact across the Natural ecosystems portfolio ie. Gender representative for Natural Ecosystems.
    • Champion innovative research and technology solutions to address critical ocean challenges. Foster partnerships with academic and research institutions to advance our understanding and conservation efforts.
    • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with a broad network of stakeholders, including conservation organizations, government agencies, industry leaders, and the philanthropic community to amplify our impact
    • Subject Matter Expertise
    • Partnership program specialist, highly developed relationship management skills, particularly in the context of environmental conservation.
    • Experience in conservation project management, with a focus on marine or environmental projects.
    • Proven experience in improving outcomes and impact in this area. Demonstrated knowledge of related issues and understanding of the complexity and challenges associated with biodiversity in marine habitats.
    • A bachelor's degree in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or similar with at least 5 years' of relevant experience in the same field. A master's degree or higher is preferred. Preferred : proven expertise and practical experience in ocean policy related areas such as marine protected areas (MPAs), the high seas treaty (BBNJ), sustainable fisheries management, or other aspects of ocean governance. Familiarity with international policy processes, multilateral negotiations, or regional marine conservation frameworks will be highly regarded.
