Review officer

  • Use your administrative expertise to provide support and advice to Civil and Enforcement Services.

  • Earn $ an hour (inclusive of 25 per cent casual loading) plus superannuation in a VPS grade 3 role.

About us

Enforcement and Support Services (ESS) is a business unit of Civil and Enforcement Services (CES) and manages the administration and enforcement of infringement and court fines across the state.

Enforcement and Support Services administers a range of social justice initiatives, such as the Work and Development Permit Scheme, Family Violence Scheme and Time Served Scheme.

About the role :

The review officer will work within ESS, a business unit of CES. Review officers primarily deal with applications submitted by members of the public seeking a review of registered infringement fines, and applications for payment arrangement.

Some of your duties will include :

  • Providing support to the operations team lead to ensure the successful administration of the Fines Reform Act 2014.
  • Exercising professional judgement regarding the application of standards of service and other relevant rules, policies and guidelines to assist in the day-to-day operations of Fines Victoria. This will include the determination of payment arrangements and enforcement review applications, as well as handling general enquiries.
  • Providing accurate and timely advice with other Fines Victoria units, enforcement agencies, and other interested parties on infringement and other matters arising within the jurisdiction of Fines Victoria.

    As an ideal candidate, you will possess :

  • Experience in the practical application of legislation or policies is highly desirable.
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office and relevant IT systems and applications.
