Your opportunity :

Our Digital & Information group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Policy & Standards Lead to join our newly established Digital Utility team.

Digital & Information is responsible for digitally enabling Urban Utilities today and digitally transforming future capability to enable provision of digital services to our customers, community and people. The group is accountable to formulate and execute Urban Utilities' digital & data strategy, deliver Urban Utilities digital portfolio and provide day-to-day operations of information technology (IT), operating technology (OT), data, and the Internet of Things (IOT), including security, infrastructure management, system administration, network operations, and support services.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Cyber & Digital Risk, the Digital Policy and Standards Lead is accountable f or setting and governing the policies and standards that will manage risk and drive the effectiveness and security of Urban Utilities' digital environment. This role ensures the creation of an authorized environment through the establishment of policies, standards, and guidelines that govern user privileges and the approval of new technologies. The role is critical in maintaining compliance with regulations and legislation, ensuring robust and effective digital practices, and mitigating risks associated with digital enablement, transformation and operations.

Success in this role will be measured by the successful implementation and adherence to digital policies and standards, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the minimization of digital risks. Key performance indicators will include the effectiveness of policy implementation, the level of compliance achieved, the number of risks mitigated, and feedback from internal and external stakeholders on the robustness of the digital environment.

About you :

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk or Computer Science, complimented by relevant industry knowledge and experience- Qualifications in CISM, CRISC and / or CISSP are highly desirable- Extensive experience in in digital policy and standards development and governance.- Demonstrated experience in risk management and compliance in digital environments.- Strong knowledge of digital technologies, including IT, OT, data, and IOT domains.- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address business requirements and influence policy and standards adoption- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams in the implementation of digital policies and standards
