Vehicle Body Builder / Repairer

You'll be involved in Conduct general vehicle repairs in a timely manner to ensure our required repairs for our fleet are carried out quickly and efficiently. Undertake repair work including smash repairs and / or panel replacements in a timely manner. Rust repairs from minor to major rust removal jobs. Cut and polish - paint restoration work. Detailing & Clean vehicles to a service ready level Ensure panel and general repairs meet QT / RTA requirements, and as per Company specifications. Making assessments of damaged vehicles, deciding how best to repair it and estimating the time and cost for the repair. Mentor and assist Apprentices and Trade Assistants as requested, focusing on their safety while they always undertake their work to their competency level. The boxes you'll tick Trade qualification, Certificate III in Automotive (Vehicle Body Building) or Panel Beating. Previous repair experience in vehicle body building on trucks and buses. Medium-rigid license essential, heavy-rigid license preferable. Forklift license (preferable). Good understanding of the basis of our business is preferable. Self-motivated with a demonstrated enthusiastic approach to day-to-day business operations and positive approach to a continual changing work environment.
