In this role, you will report to the Project Manager (Gossan Valley) and work on a 4 : 3 roster.Your focus will be on managing site projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-budget delivery.This is an 18-month contract with the potential to extend to 24 months.Your Primary Responsibilities Will IncludeProviding technical expertise and leadership in project initiation, cost estimation, budget submissions, and project delivery.Delivering structural, mechanical, and piping packages, while supporting the execution and consolidation of civil and electrical, instrumentation, and control (EIC) scopes.Managing contractors and ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with standards.Performing risk assessments, JSEAs, and safety investigations to ensure compliance with safety protocols.Reviewing and developing equipment strategies to align with statutory, Australian, and site standards.About YouOur ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical project engineering roles, including some exposure to design work.Other Key Skills, Experience, And QualificationsTertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.Proven track record in successfully delivering greenfield and / or brownfield projects.Supervisory experience in high-risk work.Current C-class manual driver's licence.About 29Metals and Golden Grove29Metals is an ASX-listed mining company producing copper and other base and precious metals critical to the global energy transition.
