The Role
The Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems (MIWS) Branch is seeking professional, motivated and experienced EL 1 Project Managers to join the Australian Combat Management Systems (AusCMS) Directorate to contribute to Combat Management Systems of the Royal Australian Navy.
The Project Manager will support the AusCMS Director in providing project / product, technical, commercial and relationship management advice, as well as other assigned responsibilities to deliver Directorate outcomes. Managing such activities related to the physical design, integration, test, certification and delivery of the AusCMS to Navy.
International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) is the United States regulation that controls the manufacture, sale and distribution of Defence and space-related articles and services. The ITAR contains a list of “restricted” countries that are unable to access ITAR controlled information, and therefore we will need to know if an applicant holds dual citizenship to one of the restricted countries to ensure they meet the requirement to perform the role (and we do not breach any ITAR requirements).
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines / classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
