We currently have an opportunity for a
- Cleaning Services Manage
- r to join our Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. You will be responsible for the operational planning; managing resources and leading teams to deliver a high standard of cleanliness across a 7 day a week, 24-hour operation.
The key objective of this role is to build and maintain strong mutually trusting relationships with staff, clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to deliver on venue cleaning KPIs and event cleaning services.
- What you'll do
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below :
- Manage and supervise the cleaning department, including recruitment and training.
- Planning, budgeting, and invoicing to ensure smooth administration and coordination of all cleaning requirements and to find cost efficiencies.
- Provide a consistent and responsive service and communication to clients and all internal departments.
- Ensure contractors / agency engaged adhere to the site rules and regulations and terms of their contract.
- Ensure all events run smoothly and the needs of the client are attended to promptly and efficiently, maximizing profits.
- Daily supervision of the cleaning team, a 7 day a week, 24-hour operation.
- Ensuring a high level of cleaning services is delivered, to meet agreed contractual standards.
- What you'll bring
- A strong leader, who is experienced in managing large teams, quality control and building a performance culture.
- Solid knowledge of cleaning and hygiene related services with an understanding of observing safe work practices in a high-risk environment and chemical use in the workplace.
- Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders and experienced in auditing, financial costing and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills required both written and verbal.
- Working in a fast-paced environment and has proven capacity to work well under pressure and to strict rolling timelines.
