Commercial Officer

Canberra Based
NV1 Security Clearance Mandatory
Length of Contract : 11 months
Closing date : 2pm Wednesday 6th August, 2025

Essential Experience and / or Qualifications :

Relevant qualifications in Law, Business, Commerce, Finance, Contract Management and / or Procurement.

More than 8 years’ experience in Commercial Management or Contract Management.

A current security clearance (minimum NV1).

Experience authoring and reviewing complex strategic procurement and contracting documentation using the ASDEFCON suite.

Comprehensive understanding of Australian Government procurement processes and procedures.

Very strong written and oral communication skills.

Highly Desirable Experience and / or Qualifications :

Experience working in a Defence CASG project

Experience with Foreign Military Sales procurement processes and activities.

Comprehensive understanding of Defence processes and structure.

Comprehensive understanding of the One Defence Capability System (formerly the Capability Life Cycle).

Experience with procurement in a highly technical ICT / communications system context.
