- About the Team
The Fraud Control Team is located within the Ministerial and Executive Enabling Branch, Strategic Policy Division. The Fraud Control Team is responsible for preventing, detecting, and investigating internal and external fraud related to the department. The team is a small but cohesive unit of qualified and highly skilled officers who are passionate about what they do.
The Ministerial and Executive Enabling Branch provides a range of support and assistance to the Executive and our Ministers. This includes the planning and reporting framework required under relevant legislation, parliamentary and Cabinet support, governance support, internal audit, enterprise risk management and fraud and corruption control.

- What you will do
- APS Level 5 Fraud Administration Officer
- provides administrative support to the Fraud Control Section and assists the Fraud Prevention Officer in the fraud prevention work program.
You will :
- contribute to the development of plans, strategies, and team goals
- assist with planning and roll-out of fraud awareness training and education materials
- assist with facilitating the completion of fraud risk assessments
- build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to support the management of fraud risks
- provide administrative support to the Fraud Control Section through monitoring of the positional mailbox, arranging of meetings, drafting of correspondence, etc
- triage incoming requests for assistance
- contribute to the development of a cohesive and supportive team environment and work collaboratively as an effective team member.
- APS Level 6 Fraud Prevention Officer
- supports the Fraud Prevention Manager to deliver the fraud prevention work program.
You will :
- facilitate the completion of fraud risk assessments
- build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to support the management of fraud risks
- assist stakeholders with identification of fraud risks and maintain the Fraud Risk Register
- promote consistency in fraud risk management practices through the provision of training, advice and support to divisions responsible for specialist areas of departmental fraud risks, and high fraud risk divisions
- develop and implement fraud risk management and fraud control policies and procedures
- assist with development and updates to the department's fraud control plan
- APS Level 6 Fraud Detection & Intelligence Officer
- supports the Fraud Response Manager with the assessment of fraud allegations, producing intelligence assessments, providing fraud control advice, and identifying fraud risks through intelligence and detection projects.
