Management Accountant / Property Management

The Company

Our client is an expanding, family-owned, and innovative property investment and management group operating with a strategic focus on maximising returns from a diverse and substantial portfolio of assets. They have a turnover of around $55M with $950M worth in assets. With a proven track record of success, the company has established itself as a respected player in the real estate industry. This role will be a 3 month Temp to Perm opportunity reporting directly to the CFO.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, the Management Accountant will be responsible for but not limited to,

• Manage and complete month end accounting
• Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly management reports, including variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders
• Support external audit processes and ensure financial compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Assist with the preparation and review of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
• Maintain and improve financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and strategic decision-making
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights, support cost control initiatives, and drive business performance
• Monitor and analyse key financial metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Ensure integrity of the general ledger through regular balance sheet reconciliations and compliance with accounting standards

Your Profile

As an experienced CA / CPA qualified accounting professional, you will possess a minimum of 4 years of practical experience in similar positions. Confident and capable of dealing with ambiguity, you will be a clear communicator who can manage the expectations of senior stakeholders and lead their team.
