Eden Ritchie is seeking a
- Principal Communication and Engagement Officer
- to support social and economic outcomes for Queensland through the development and implementation of the Queensland VET Strategy.
- 3 month contract
- Brisbane CBD location
- As the Principal Communication and Engagement Officer, your key responsibilities will include
- Support the Manager, Communication and Engagement, to deliver a communication and engagement strategy for the Queensland VET Strategy, including delivery of dedicated communication, events and issues management plans for associated initiatives targeting diverse audiences and stakeholder groups.
- Support the coordination of events and engagements promoting the value of training pathways and raising awareness of the Queensland VET strategy and its objectives, including promoting the value of skilled careers and training pathways to Queensland jobs.
- Ensure communication materials comply with corporate governance processes, whole-of-government policies and regulatory requirements as well as editorial and visual style guidelines.
- The successful applicant will demonstrate
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of communication and marketing strategies using a wide range of tools and channels targeting diverse customer groups and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level, effective management and accountability for project supervision, budget management and resource allocation, with emphasis on the provision of timely and quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated high level communication (both written and oral), consultation and negotiation skills with proven ability to liaise with senior executives and managers within a large, decentralised organisation.
- Proven high level interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders to cultivate productive working relationships and build and sustain successful partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to research and prepare a variety of communication materials for different communication and marketing channels targeting different customers groups and stakeholders.
- Track record of planning and delivering effective strategic events and engagement activity in a highly collaborative way.
- Desirable by not mandatory
- Knowledge of Queensland Government Advertising and Communication Committee and Queensland Government advertising policies.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in a communication related area (i.e. communication, journalism or public relations) or demonstrated experience in a communication environment is considered highly desirable.
The Principal Communication and Engagement Officer reports to the Manager, Communication and Engagement, within the Training Strategy Implementation Office.
