Type : MIxed - 75% Small animal, 25% large with a mix of both large pastoral & dedicated hobby farmers and horse clients.

Location : Nr Canberra, New South Wales, Australia

The Practice :

Located on the doorstep of Canberra, 2 hours from the coast, and 3 hours to the ski slopes & Sydney. Our client has 2 hospitals, 15 minutes apart. The newest is in a scenic wine region. Both clinics are resourced exceptionally well, fitted with :

Facilities :

• RX works Practice management system
• Full laboratory facilities
• Dental machine & digital dental X-ray camera
• X-ray, portable digital x ray, ultrasound machines
• Large animal treatment facilities (stocks, trot up track, treatment paddocks).
• Cubex and Vetcheck technology.

The Role :

As a veterinary employee you will be very well supported. They have a dedicated nurse to each vet with numerous other ancillary staff rostered to allow the best standard of care for the patients and the wellbeing of all staff. The practice culture has a strong emphasis on work life balance with flexible working hours and attention to wellbeing. Some of the team can be found playing in the YVV nurses touch footy team on Wednesday afternoons or relaxing at staff snappies on a Friday after work, or painting / meditating in one of our quarterly staff wellbeing sessions.

You will have a large team of experienced vets to draw from. They refer to specialists and referral hospitals in Canberra, Wagga & Sydney.

On call is evenly shared and is currently 1 : 7 with all afterhours calls assessed through an afterhours triaging service.
