Job description

Your Role as Director of Nursing :

In this leadership role, you will :

  • Inspire and Lead Provide strategic direction and mentorship to a dedicated team, ensuring outstanding care for all residents.
  • Uphold Excellence Ensure compliance with Aged Care Standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies to maintain the highest levels of care.
  • Foster a Positive Culture Build a supportive, engaged workplace , where staff feel valued and motivated to deliver exceptional care.
  • Oversee Operations Manage financial resources, staffing, and facility operations , ensuring sustainability and efficiency .
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Implement best practices and ensure residents and families receive a high level of satisfaction and well-being .

Who Were Looking For :

To excel in this role, youll bring :

  • AHPRA Registration and a bachelors degree in nursing, healthcare management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of leadership / management experience within aged care or healthcare.
  • Proven leadership skills , with the ability to motivate, inspire, and support teams in delivering exceptional care.
  • Expertise in aged care legislation, standards, and funding models (e.g., ACFI / AN-ACC).
  • Financial and budget management skills , with a focus on resource optimization and quality care delivery .
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities , capable of handling complex situations effectively.
  • A work ethic defined by integrity, compassion, and a deep respect for residents, families, and staff .
  • Proficiency in or willingness to learn the AN-ACC funding system .
  • Experience in complex clinical services , preferably within aged care, hospitals, or community care.
  • Desirable experience in geriatric medicine, palliative care, or rehabilitation .
  • A valid drivers license, National Police Check, or NDIS Workers Screening Check .
  • Current influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations .
