About the Role :
The Investment Analyst plays a critical role within QuarterFive’s investment team, supporting the functions of the Investment Committee and working directly with both advisory team and clients. This dual-facing role offers a unique pathway into both the technical investment function and client advisory services, with the opportunity to specialise or maintain exposure to both.
Responsibilities and tasks :
- Interview prospective and existing clients to assess their financial status, investment goals, needs, and risk tolerance.
- Analyze clients’ financial data to determine objectives and develop tailored investment strategies.
- Respond to client inquiries, providing detailed explanations and rationale for investment decisions and recommendations.
- Gather and incorporate client feedback to improve future financial strategies and communications.
- Refer clients to other professionals or organizations for additional services required by their financial plans.
- Develop and implement personalized financial plans and investment strategies that align with client objectives and financial situations.
- Set financial objectives and formulate strategies to achieve long-term wealth and financial security goals.
- Recommend and arrange suitable insurance coverage to meet client protection needs.
- Assist clients with superannuation-related compliance and investment planning.
- Track and monitor the performance of client portfolios against benchmarks and expected outcomes.
- Provide ongoing insights and recommendations for portfolio rebalancing, optimization, and risk mitigation.
- Analyze portfolio composition and advise on diversification, asset allocation, and funding sources.
- Manage funds from personal superannuation savings, unit trusts, and other investments.
- Arrange for the purchase and sale of securities (e.g., shares, bonds) on behalf of clients.
- Collaborate with the Investment Committee to support its strategic evolution and governance functions.
- Collaborate with the Quarter Five operational team to ensure that technology tools are tailored to the specific needs of the investment team.
- Gather and organise financial, accounting, and investment data to support the preparation of budgets, reports, forecasts, and client investment presentations and performance reviews.
Required Education qualification, experience and other skills :
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is required, or A master’s degree or MBA is for advanced analytical roles is preferred.Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial advice, investment research, or a similar role within the financial services industry, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial modelling and data analysis.Strong written and oral communication skills.Proficiency in using advanced financial planning software.Expertise in conducting thorough research using various databases and financial information systems.Salary : $80,000 - $90,000 a year
