  • Who we are

Universal Tradesman is a repairs, maintenance and renovations company located predominantly in Melbourne's south east. We service both the real estate industry and private clients, and specialise in timber rot damage. To support our continued growth, we need a reliable tradesperson who will fit the team both in terms of our company culture and our expectations.

  • What you will be responsible for

    • You will be both overseeing one of our maintenance staff, and working independently on jobs as assigned to you by the administrative staff. Jobs may include :

  • Rebuilding rotten windows, architraves, etc.
  • Building and maintenance of decks, including Ecodeck
  • Hanging and repairing doors / frames
  • Fence building and repairs
  • Light painting works (mostly on repaired timber windows and doors)
  • General home maintenance and repairs, including caulking

    • Tiling and plastering skills will be considered highly, however are not necessary.

  • Role requirements

    • To be considered for this role, you must have the following things :

  • Must be a fully qualified tradesperson
  • Experience in both carpentry and maintenance positions highly regarded
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Problem-solving skills are a must - some repair tasks will require a creative solution to be able to fix, so if your immediate go-to answer is 'no' before considering all options, you're not the right fit
  • Excellent client communication - this is a
  • front-facing role
  • and you will be expected to be able to communicate clearly with customers so their job expectations are clear
  • Own tools

    • Pay will be negotiated within the listed range, based on a combination of experience, skill, and attitude.

  • 25.00 - $40.00 per hour
