Transport Manager - West

Join our rapidly growing business supporting the booming Mining and Construction Industry. Brooks Hire has been in operation since the 1970s and is a national construction equipment hire company servicing the civil and mining sectors.

We are seeking an experienced  Transport Manager – West  to oversee transport operations across Western Australia. Reporting directly to the General Manager - Transport, this is a critical position responsible for ensuring the efficient coordination of machine movements, contractor performance, and service delivery for our transport division.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee and manage all transport operations across WA, ensuring timely and cost-effective machine mobilisations, demobilisations, and transfers

Develop and implement transport strategies and processes to support business objectives

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and clients

Negotiate transport rates and service agreements with subcontractors

Provide leadership and support to transport staff and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations

Monitor transport costs, manage on-charges to clients, and drive efficiency improvements

Ensure high standards of customer service through proactive scheduling and clear communication

Manage administrative functions related to transport including quotes, documentation, and reporting

Skills and Experience :

Proven experience in a Transport Manager or similar leadership role, ideally within the civil, mining, or heavy equipment industry

Strong knowledge of heavy plant and equipment logistics

Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills

High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Strong computer literacy, including transport management systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and lead a high-performing team
