Child Care Educator (Certificate Iii) Kooinda

The name 'Kooinda' means 'a happy place' in the local indigenous Awabakal language. Our focus is on ensuring we provide a happy, safe and accepting environment, which reflects and enriches the lives and identities of the children and families that attend our centre.

Kooinda has a focus on exploring the natural environment and they utilise the natural environment of the service and the University of Newcastle campus to deliver a program and focus on caring for our environment and developing children's interest in creating a sustainable future.

• The Role

Kooinda are looking for experienced and motivated educators with a

• completed
• Certificate III qualification to join their team.
• On offer is a permanent part time position working Wednesday to Friday, 8 hours per day (including a paid lunch break).

• To be considered for this role, it is essential you have
• Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
• A valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
• A recognised Certificate III in Children's Services qualification or similar as approved by Australian Children's Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
• Child Protection training and knowledge of current legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
• Sound understanding of the NQF, EYLF, Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
