UGL is seeking a dynamic

• Commercial Manager
• to lead and oversee the commercial operations within our Resources & Energy West portfolio. This is a key leadership position based in Perth, responsible for driving commercial excellence, optimising contract performance, and contributing to the division's success.
• The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, Resources & Energy West, the Commercial Manager will :

• Provide strategic commercial leadership across a diverse portfolio of contracts and projects.
• Provide general leadership to the Resources & Energy West portfolio as part of the business unit leadership team.
• Lead and support pre-contract commercial negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Lead and support post-contract commercial negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Drive the development, implementation, and management of commercial strategies and processes.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, policies, and legal requirements.
• Monitor and manage commercial performance, risk, and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration and trust.
• Mentor and guide a team of commercial professionals to achieve high performance including pre-contract, subcontract, and post-contract.
• About You

You are an experienced and commercially astute leader with a proven track record in complex projects within the resources, energy, or construction industries. Your qualifications and experience include :

• A degree in business, commerce, law, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in contract management, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• A deep understanding of commercial and legal principles.
• Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
