We're looking for a Lifestyle Assistant iole to work in our residential home in Gisborne Oaks, Gisborne. You will support the implementation of our creative and engaging lifestyle programs. You will play a critical role in helping our residents live their best lives and achieve their personal goals. This is a part-time role working on below shifts :

Monday 1 : 00 pm - 5 : 00 pm

Tuesday 1 : 00 pm - 5 : 00 pm

Wednesday 1 : 00 pm - 5 : 00 pm

A typical day will have you

Assisting with the provision of recreational and social programs that enhance the well-being of our residents

Supporting the Lifestyle Coordinator in the orientation of new team members

Assisting each resident individually in accordance with the lifestyle plan document and ensuring information is recorded accurately

Ensuring all programs meet both residents' needs and accreditation standards

Demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, social and spiritual needs of our residents and their families

Engaging our residents and encouraging them to be part of their local community

Assisting with meaningful and enriching activities that provide choice to each person

We're looking for someone with

Qualification in Community Development, Recreation or Disability Studies (i.e. Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure), desirable

Demonstrated understanding of Leisure and Lifestyle programming and Aged Care Quality Standards

Proficient in working autonomously and within a team environment

Empathetic and can build strong connections with residents and their loved ones

Honest, helpful and dependable - a great asset to the team
