Construction & Engineering Underwriter

• Key Responsibilities
• Underwrite Construction and Engineering business with brokers throughout NSW
• Build & maintain strong relationships with brokers and colleagues
• Work autonomously to create new business opportunities
• Manage renewal business at a high level of customer service while meeting renewal rate and retention targets
• Address all enquiries professionally and accurately
• Contribute to improving underwriting processes, procedures and practices

• Technical Knowledge / Qualifications / Experience
• Certificate IV in General Insurance or equivalent
• Knowledge of the legal / legislative environment in which the insurance industry operates
• Experience in construction and engineering insurance highly regarded
• Good understanding of general insurance underwriting
• Existing broker relationships highly regarded
