Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to join the team at a centre situated within Sydney Corporate Park in Alexandria. This early childhood centre is committed to providing the best resources, equipment, and educational materials to ensure a high-quality learning environment for children.
About the role
As an Educator at this centre, you will be working in the Early Explorers Room with children aged 1.5 to 2.5 or 2 to 3. A small and cosy room with a capacity of only 12 children. We are looking for someone who has a calm and nurturing temperament to work alongside a small team. Main responsibilities will include :
- Creating a safe and nurturing environment : Ensuring that the room is clean, organised, and free from hazards.
- Developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum : This may include sensory play, art and crafts, language development exercises, storytelling, and structured play.
- Facilitating learning and play : Creating an engaging and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and fosters curiosity.
- Providing care and support : Assisting children with their basic needs, such as feeding, diapering, and toileting. Helping them develop independence, self-help skills, and personal hygiene routines, such as handwashing.

You must
- Hold a Certificate 3 or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA equivalent)
- Current Child Protection, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Hold a valid VISA with full working rights
- Experience working with infants in an Early Childhood setting
- Sound understanding of National Education and Care Services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working with Children Check number
- 2 professional references from most recent employer
