Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or Fitter for mining component and machine rebuilds for a Leading workshop. A full-time, permanent role within a growing organization. Monday to Friday,
- Requires : At least 3 years of experience servicing large-scale earthmoving or mining equipment.
- Salary guide : $40 - $50 per hour + overtime, depending on experience.
- Newcastle Region, New South Wales

Your normal day will involve :
Servicing, repairing, and rebuilding a wide range of heavy-duty mining and construction equipment following OEM guidelines.Fault-finding and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, either independently or in consultation with the team to determine the best repair methods.Accurately processing returns of unused or irreparable materialsOnly day shifts in the workshopYour next employer is a respected Australian workshop company specializing in the service and repair of earthmoving and excavation equipment for the mining industry. You will need :
Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience with heavy machinery, ideally within the mining industry.Relevant Trade Qualification in Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic works.Experience in servicing, diagnosing, and fault identification in large-scale earthmoving equipment.Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system drawings and schematics.Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Current Australian driver’s license.Permanent residency in Australia.Advantageous : CAT dealer training is highly regarded.Job benefits include :
