Public Sector People is proud to be partnering with the City of Sydney to recruit a resilient and analytical Contract Portfolio Manager. This high-impact leadership role will see you guiding the end-to-end contract lifecycle across some of the city's most significant civil infrastructure, traffic operations, electrical maintenance and structural maintenance programs.

About the Role :

Reporting to the Infrastructure Delivery Manager, you will be a central figure in overseeing the sourcing, procurement, onboarding, relationship management and offboarding of a major portfolio of contracts—ranging from short-term engagements to billion-dollar infrastructure partnerships.

Key responsibilities include : Leading contract strategy, development, and performance across Business Unit's portfolio.Providing expert guidance to executives, stakeholders, and delivery teams on sourcing, procurement, and complianceManaging commercial risk, governance, and value-for-money outcomes in a highly regulated environmentWriting comprehensive reports, leading audits, and improving quality assurance and corporate systemsBuilding collaborative, cross-functional relationships with contractors, consultants, executives, and internal teamsWhat You'll Bring : Tertiary qualifications and / or extensive experience in civil, construction or asset management procurementDemonstrated success in managing high-value, complex contracts within government or infrastructure environmentsExceptional communication and negotiation skills across diverse stakeholder groups, including senior executivesStrong analytical mindset with the resilience to navigate competing priorities and drive outcomesA record of delivering strategic procurement improvements, supporting systems, and mentoring internal teamsWhy City of Sydney?
