Group Payroll Officer – Automotive | Full-Time | Campbelltown NSW (On-Site)

The Opportunity

Are you a payroll professional with experience in the automotive industry? Are you ready to take the lead in payroll operations and be part of an end-to-end HRIS transformation? Join 4K Automotive Group as our Group Payroll Officer, based at our Campbelltown head office.

As we transition from Unipay to Employment Hero's integrated HR and payroll platform, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, timely payroll while helping to shape the future of our workforce systems.

What You’ll Do

  • End-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities using Unipay (transitioning to Employment Hero)
  • Ensure compliance with awards, superannuation, and Fair Work obligations in conjunction with the People and Culture team.
  • Reconcile payroll reports, STP submissions, leave entitlements, and employee records
  • Work closely with People & Culture to support onboarding, terminations, and audits
  • Lead payroll queries with professionalism and discretion
  • Participate in the rollout and testing of our new payroll system

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven payroll experience in a multi-site, award-based environment – automotive industry experience highly regarded
  • Hands-on experience with Unipay and ideally a transition to a cloud-based HRIS like Employment Hero
  • Strong understanding of NES, payroll tax, STP, and superannuation compliance
  • A keen eye for detail, discretion, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Comfortable navigating change – you enjoy working in evolving, people-driven environments
