- About the Opportunity
Working closely with the project team, the procurement and logistic coordinator will be responsible for supporting Wellhead Platform installation operations in Southeast Asia by conveying and managing orders between suppliers, operations, and other internal and external logistic functions. The procurement and logistic coordinator will also be focusing and enhancing the internal capability of the business, leading system and process improvement to increase efficiencies, reduce cost, and improve accuracy across the procurement and logistics functions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Planning, organising, and implementing all operational procurement & logistics activities in compliance with ICON Management System Procedures and Processes.
- Handle 'day-to-day' purchasing including follow up orders and assessing & identifying supply risks and define & implement measures to mitigate those risks to ensure delivery meets schedule (including rescheduling / managing schedule impact)
- Complete dispatch and receival documentation to client's satisfaction.
- Maintain all registers, documentation and record keeping for all functions relating to logistics, project assets and project procured items as required.
- Marshall, coordinate and prepare equipment for shipping. Supervise third parties during loadouts.
- Ensure loadout consumables (pallets / straps etc) are maintained to ensure logistics schedules can be received.
- Lead continuous improvement in the procurement and logistics functions
- Working closely with business units to meet production deadlines, secure cost-effective procurement and provide quotations and guidance as required.
- About You
- Minimum of 8 years practical experience in operational procurement
- Procurement experience in the Oil & Gas, Mining and or Resource industry, specifically :
- The acquisition and management of installation equipment / materials and plant (e.g., Vessels, barges, cranes, construction support equipment etc)
- Experience within the Southeast Asia region (Singapore / Malaysia / Indonesia - Brunei beneficial) and managing sub-contracts, vendors and processes covering the above within those regions
- Good understanding of Southeast Asia and Australian supply and works contracts terms and conditions and an ability to manage and negotiate these with contractors
- Knowledgeable in the preparation of request for tender / request for quote / purchasing specification documents
- Capable in commercial evaluation of submitted tenders, including evaluation of terms and conditions (identifying any departures from acceptable T&Cs) and develop recommendation to award.
- Capable of managing contracts post award, including expediting, logistics co-ordination, correspondence control, evaluation of contractor payments, evaluation of variation requests etc exceptional Microsoft Office Suite skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Actively promote safe working and HSE focused culture
- Excellent written and verbal communication, supported by refined interpersonal skills
- Dangerous goods transport and handling qualifications desirable.
