Job Overview The Principal Structural Engineer is responsible for interpreting business issues and recommending best practices. They will solve complex structural problems, work independently, and may lead teams or projects. They must have in-depth expertise in structural engineering and broad knowledge of the discipline within the engineering function.

Responsibilities Perform analyses and design as per specifications, codes, and standards. Address complex problems using deep skills and broad knowledge. Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, and procedures. Manage time and resources, especially when leading engineering teams. Communicate effectively and explain complex concepts. As Lead Engineer, direct medium or large teams, plan, organize, and oversee discipline execution, interface with stakeholders, and ensure deliverables meet standards. Mentor and train staff. Coordinate with other disciplines and understand construction and client requirements. Provide engineering support and perform checks and verifications. Prepare material take-offs, specifications, and evaluate vendors. Lead and coordinate tasks as an Engineering Specialist and Lead Engineer. Manage subcontractors, scope changes, and engineering documentation. Report to project and department managers, liaise with multiple stakeholders, and supervise engineers and designers. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in engineering. 15-20 years of oil and gas experience, mainly in detailed design. Registered Professional Engineer or similar membership preferred. Strong structural knowledge, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Fluent in English, familiar with standards, codes, and project coordination.
