Site Environmental Advisor FIFO 2 / 1 Roster
Our client a respected engineering and project delivery consultancy is seeking an experienced Site Environmental Advisor to support the environmental compliance of a major mining infrastructure project in Western Australia. This is a FIFO role from Perth on a 2 : 1 roster.
About the Project
The position is based in WA on an iron-ore project a key component of broader site development for a well-established mining operator. As part of a high-performing site-based team you will be instrumental in ensuring the project complies with environmental standards and regulatory frameworks while also supporting day-to-day construction operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of environmental management plans aligning with legislative requirements and company standards.
Manage and maintain environmental permits and approvals.
Conduct routine site inspections risk assessments and compliance audits.
Collect and interpret environmental site data supporting reporting and continuous improvement.
Coordinate and deliver environmental inductions and training including EMS awareness for construction and operations personnel.
Provide day-to-day environmental support and advice to project managers and site staff.
Report audit outcomes and compliance findings to the Construction and Project Managers.
Support the delivery of targeted initiatives around dust waste vegetation and biodiversity management.
About You
5 years of environmental advisory experience in a construction mining or heavy infrastructure setting.
Strong understanding of WA environmental legislation approvals processes and compliance obligations.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a site-based fast-paced construction environment.
Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders and influence compliance outcomes.
Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
Driving license.
