  • Our Clayton care home is set within a lively community 25kms from the CBD, surrounded by a hospital, supermarket, and schools. It consists of 155 beds, with a variety of care types. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

    • About the Role
    • As the Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the energy, engagement, and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities. You will also lead mental health and wellbeing programs which empower our resident's choices and independence. We are looking for a part time person to cover Thursday and Fridays and a casual RAO.

    • Duties
    • Plan, organise, and lead activities for our residents that will meet social and recreational needs while also promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
    • Assess and document the effectiveness of the programs, by tracking residents' progress and changing the programs as needed
    • Skills and Experience
    • Minimum of a Cert III in Leisure and Lifestyle
    • Senior First Aid Certificate is essential
    • Previous experience within an aged or community care setting
    • Highly developed organisation and time management skills
    • The ability to solve problems independently
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes

    • Bupa Villages and Aged Care is a NDIS approved provider. As part of the NDIS scheme, employees working within a NDIS facility, in a risk assessed role, must have a completed NDIS check. This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement - successful applicants will have this cost reimbursed upon commencement.

      IMPORTANT : All aged care workers must have the relevant COVID and Booster vaccinations in line with State legislation. Evidence of these vaccinations will be required prior to commencement.
