Civil Maintenance Team Members

  • North Melbourne Depot Location
  • Mon to Friday 6am to 3pm

Citywide are looking for experienced Civil Maintenance Team Members to join our operations based in North Melbourne.

This role will see you working on all aspects of asphalt / bluestone installation and maintenance across roads, footpaths and potholes, as well as street furniture and sign maintenance.

On a day-to-day basis the position requires the use of various equipment including : rollers and handheld equipment such as compaction plates, demolition saws etc.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Operation of vehicles and equipment such as wacker, roller, vibrating plates, flocons, jack hammers, hand rammer, pick and other hand tools
  • Installation of footpaths and / or roadways including raking, shovelling, rolling, paving and tamping
  • Repair / replace hot mix asphalt / bluestone paving
  • Repair / replace streets signs, structural support and street furniture assets
  • Ensure the site is set up safely, providing effective pedestrian and traffic control
  • Complete work activity records
  • Ensure that fleet are maintained in a safe and presentable condition
  • Other duties as required within the scope of the role

    • Skills Required :

  • MR Truck Licence (preferred)
  • Asphalt road maintenance experience (preferred)
  • Experience in maintenance and operation of relevant equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret plans
  • Strong knowledge and appreciation of OH&S
  • Construction Induction White Card
  • Traffic Management Ticket
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Working with Children Card
