About The Role

SAAB Australia is seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering hardware-related projects. This is an opportunity to lead innovative projects that make a tangible impact.

Based in Mawson Lakes, South Australia and reporting to the Hardware Product manager , you’ll be responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of assigned hardware projects, ensuring outcomes are on time, within budget, and of high quality.

In this pivotal role, you’ll play a key role in scope definition, resource planning, cost tracking, stakeholder engagement, and continual process improvement.

As part of your specific responsibilities, you will :

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of hardware-related projects across design, development, and low-volume, high-value manufacturing.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risks.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment.
• Prepare and present status updates at key reviews, including Steering Committees and Customer Progress Meetings.
• Track and maintain hardware resource data, master schedules, and identify resource / skills gaps.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely availability of parts, tools, and assemblies for production.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and delivery outcomes.
