We are looking for new volunteers to join our Night Owl volunteer team!
Our Ronald McDonald House at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Childrenbecomes a home for families that have a child or baby in hospital.
Our Night Owl Program is maintained by a dedicated team of volunteers that understand the importance of providing a supportive & caring home-away-from-home environment to support the needs of our families.
Our Night Owl volunteers sleep overnight in our RMHC House and cover a range of essential duties including : providing practical support to families, assisting with checking in and settling in new families, maintaining a safe and secure environment and light housekeeping.
Overnight shifts are available 6pm-8am Monday-Sunday. Volunteers have the support of on-call staff overnight.

RequirementsNational Police CertificateWorking with Vulnerable People CheckThis role requires independent volunteering with the support of an on-call staff member. All Night Owls will be provided onsite training before commencing overnight shifts.All RMHC volunteers are required to apply for and hold a valid ACT Working with Vulnerable Persons card (WWVP) and complete a National Crime Check provided by RMHC on commencement of successful application.
