Primary Music Teacher

This role will commence ASAP and is open to graduate teachers. Gilson College, Taylors Hill, has an excellent mentoring and support program for graduates.

The focus of the Music Specialist is on developing their student's appreciation for music while ensuring that their programing reflects the requirements of the Australian Curriculum. They teach a range of students / classes and create and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes that reflect the wider Christian ethos of the school. The Music Specialist may be asked to support co-curricular music programs, including concerts, performances and chapel programs. The Music Specialist also maintains the school classroom instrument collection.

The successful applicant will hold a Bachelor of Education and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. The applicant will ideally have experience teaching music in a primary setting. However, primary teachers with a background in studying music are also encouraged to apply.

Salary Range : $78 - 116k based on teaching experience.
