RESPONSIBILITIES Developing and executing strategies to grow membership, product sales, and service uptakeLeading brand management, promotions, and campaign execution across digital and traditional channelsSupporting the development of internal communications to enhance staff engagementIdentifying opportunities for marketing growth and process improvementsManaging day-to-day digital marketing and social media, including strategy and engagementOverseeing the creation and distribution of content such as brochures, reports, newsletters, and website articlesProducing high-quality visual and video content for digital platformsCollaborating with internal teams, including Advocacy, Events, Member Services, and People & CultureWorking with the Events team to attract advertising and sponsorship revenueManaging one direct report – Communications & Marketing OfficerSELECTION CRITERIA At least 5 years in Marketing and Communications with a solid grasp of best practices and new trends.Proven ability to edit and write for trade publications.Great interpersonal and written communication skills.Plan, implement, and monitor projects effectively.Strong relationship-building skills and experience leading a team.Experience in managing budgets.Skilled in creating professional reports and presentations.Comfortable engaging with management, executive staff, stakeholders, and members.Strong ability to influence and work well with others.DESIRABLE Content development and management, and technical / policy writing valuedExperience in a member-based association and NFP environment well regardedPrevious experience or a high-level understanding of the fire protection industry is preferredf you are passionate about fire safety and have the skills and experience to lead our communications and marketing efforts, we would love to hear from you!
