Mechanical Estimator and Electrical Estimator

Downer Energy and Utilities is seeking a new Electrical & Mechanical Estimators to join our growing new project on an 8 / 6 roster DIDO on work hours.

The Opportunity

To support project estimating function through the effective management of Downers estimating. This role will be reporting directly to the Site Manager on a casual basis.

What we are looking for

• Estimating experience across all aspects of the electrical &mechanical and instrumentation industries in both construction service and maintenance sectors
• 5 years of experience in an estimating role
• Strong Technical and operational electrical Knowledge base
• End-to-end estimating process ensuring accurate and competitive costings
• Identify and manage risks ensuring all proposals align with company policies and market competitiveness
• Build and nurture strong relationships with clients subcontractors and suppliers
• Well-developed organisational skills including written and oral communication.
• Strong negotiation skills
• A sound commercial knowledge and understanding of the financial requirements of the deployment processes
• A positive attitude and commitment towards providing a high quality of service
• Skilled in relevant customer software systems
• Skilled in word processing spreadsheets and other software use / access as required
