Admin Officer (Grade 3 / 4) - Hybrid Role | Sydney CBD

  • Location : Sydney CBD (Just a 3-minute walk from Central Station!)
  • Salary : $90,001.00 pro-rata
  • Term : 6-month contract
  • Start Date : As soon as possible

About the Opportunity

My client has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised Admin Officer (Grade 3 / 4) to join their team in the Sydney CBD for a 6-month role. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to a dynamic environment, handling a mix of administrative and finance duties. My client is looking for someone to start as soon as possible!

The Role

This is a hybrid position, requiring you to work 3 days a week in our client's Sydney office, sharing the space with another Admin Officer. You'll be responsible for a varied set of tasks, including :

  • General Administration : Managing incoming calls, handling credit card purchases and acquittals, overseeing the admin mailbox, and organising building access passes, alongside other organisation-specific admin duties.
  • Accounts Payable (AP) Management : This involves vendor creation and maintenance, overseeing the finance inbox for invoices, creating purchase orders, goods receipting, and ensuring timely payments. As a smaller organisation, my client maintains efficient processes with no large volume of payments or backlogs.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) : Creating and following up on invoices.
  • Team Support : Providing essential basic support to our client's administration and finance teams.
  • Ideally, they are open to considering a finance professional who is also comfortable taking on partial administrative responsibilities.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you'll need :

  • Experience with SAP is essential.
  • A strong understanding of administrative and / or finance processes.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.

  • A current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check are mandatory for this position. If you do not have these, you will need to obtain them without reimbursement.
  • The interview process will involve a one-stage interview with (Manager) and (Senior Finance Officer).
