Dynamic Drill and Blast is looking for Fitter. This position is available around Western Australia, in Perth, metro and regionally.
This position is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of drill rigs and all plant equipment onsite for Dynamic Drill and Blast.
ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to :
Comply with Alcohol and Drug Testing and Fitness for Work policies and to agree to submit to random testing / screening at any time whilstat work.
Proactively drive and commit to company safety, environment, quality and training policies, practices, and procedures in compliance withrelevant legal and other requirements (LAOR) and certifications.
Using Dynamic Drill and Blast (DDB) safety systems, including the relevant tools and documentation, such as Take5s, safe workingprocedures (SWP) and safe work method statements (SWMS) to meet project health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) standards.
Attending all pre-start and toolbox meetings, and any other relevant meetings as required.Actively participating in processes directed at delivering HSEQ and maintenance goals.Reporting incidents and areas of concern / workplace hazards in accordance with on-site reporting procedures.Maintaining high standards of housekeeping in the work area.Servicing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing mobile plant, equipment, machinery, and vehicles in accordance with Dynamic Drill andBlast procedures and / or as directed.
Diagnosing physical machine faults that may be the result of a mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems failure, and repair asrequired.
Implementing machine shutdown schedules and work packages.Completing service sheets, inspection sheets and workflow documentation according to DDB procedures.liaising with supervisor regarding orders and schedules.
Completing other tasks within training and capability as directed.Other duties as directed by your direct Manager / SupervisorSafety and Environment
Report all hazards / incidents to your supervisor immediatelyConducting risk assessments (JSA's & Take 5) you are required to undertake a risk assessment on a daily basis and whenever the taskchanges.
Inspection of work area to ensure safety of yourself and othersDriving Company / clients vehicles in a safe manner on site and other locations when directed by your supervisorWearing of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) when required and maintain this equipment in good orderTake part in any incident / accident report or investigationsAdherence to magazine rulesEvacuation of personnel from pit and magazine compounds during electrical storms or other emergencies.Attend and contribute to pre-shift and toolbox meetings when on siteInternal / External Liaison
Maintain effective and positive communication with internal stakeholders to ensure Project requirements are met.Act in a professional manner at all times when representing Dynamic Drill and BlastSpecific Working Conditions and Environment
Ensuring compliance to camp rules.Human Resources
Coach and mentor trainee drill fitters to ensure standards of competency are met.Attendance to any induction as required by Dynamic Drill and BlastAct in a professional manner whilst representing Dynamic Drill and Blast.Present to work as per Dynamic Drill and Blast Fitness for Work PolicyQualifications, Skills and ExperienceSkillsStrong technical skills.Demonstrated leadership skills.High standard of written and verbal communication skills.High level of safety awareness and excellent understanding of safe operating procedures.Reasonable level of physical fitness and the ability to work at heights.Ability to work in remote locations as required.The ability to work as a team player within a dynamic and continuously changing work environment.ExperienceAt least two to five years operational experience as Drill fitter / HD FitterAt least five years' experience in a mining environment.QualificationsRelevant trade certificate as a Heavy Diesel Fitter, essentialCompetency in Work Safely at Heights and Operate Elevated Work Platform (HRWL Class WP), highly desirable.Dogging HRWL Class DG or Basic Rigging HRWL Class RB, highly desirable.Current motor vehicle drivers licence WA 'HR' classCurrent OSH Induction Card (White card)Other RequirementsAdditional requirements include :
