ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an AML / CTF & Financial Crimes Officer to join the growing team on a permanent, full-time basis.
As an Elders AML / CTF & Financial Crimes Officer you will be responsible for supporting the business to implement and monitor financial compliance obligations including the AML / CTF Compliance Program to ensure compliance. This position is also responsible for the investigation of potential compliance breaches and financial crimes matters.
As a key member of the branch, you will enjoy a varied day including :
Assist the business to implement the AML / CTF Compliance Program
Monitor and report on AML / CTF Compliance Program obligations
Prepare procedures, processes and guidelines subsidiary to the AML / CTF Compliance Program
Provide ongoing compliance support to the business and AML / CTF Compliance Officer on AML / CTF matters
Investigate potential financial crimes
Monitoring for changes to financial compliance requirements and amendments to legislation
Review and make recommendations on the financial compliance obligations, controls and risks
About you
At least 2 years relevant experience in an AML / CTF, fraud, or financial compliance role; or experience in policing or investigations
Tertiary qualification in business, law, policing or finance related discipline
Strong understanding of financial regulations
Experience advising on financial obligations and developing compliance programs
Previous experience investigating, assessing, and reporting on AML / CTF and / or financial crime matters
Excellent written and verbal communication
Project management skills
