This is a well-established Brisbane-based consultancy with a long-standing presence in Queensland's built environment over four decades, in fact. You'll be joining a team that takes on technically challenging, high-value projects that other firms can't touch. From complex hospital upgrades and defence facilities to university campuses and aviation infrastructure, you'll never be bored.

They're known for doing things differently : no fluff, no unnecessary hierarchy - just technically rigorous work, close client engagement, and a genuine team culture. The team is about 50-strong and growing steadily, offering a perfect mix of depth, agility, and ambition.

What You'll Be Doing (and Why You'll Enjoy It)This isn't a 'sit-back-and-draft' kind of role.

You'll be in the thick of things from day one - owning designs, engaging directly with clients, leading projects, and mentoring junior engineers. Project teams here are tight and technically focused, which means you'll have direct access to senior leadership and be trusted with real responsibility.

If you're stuck behind red tape or repetitive design cycles right now, this role will give you variety, challenge, and a chance to have your name on meaningful outcomes.

And if Associate level is your goal, you'll be supported with clear KPIs, ongoing development, and regular reviews - not vague promises.

Is This You?You're likely already working in building services with 5-12 years of experience and :

Solid design experience in electrical building services (lighting, power, comms, etc.)

Project leadership skills or ready to step up into that space

A strong understanding of Australian standards and compliance requirements

Clear communication and confidence working with clients, architects, and builders

Bonus if you've worked in healthcare, defence, or education sectors - but not essential

Healthcare project experience will help - but if you're switched on and driven, they'll back you to grow into the role.
