Strong leadership experience in managing a diverse team, including overseeing performance, development, and HR matters like recruitment, retention, and workforce planning, while remaining aligned with organizational goals.
Extensive knowledge of mission and business critical ICT systems, and the policies that impact QAS service delivery.
Excellent problem-solving and critical analysis skills for complex organisational, technological, and operational issues, with the ability to mentor and guide a team in finding effective solutions.
Proven ability to communicate, negotiate, and consult effectively, whilst building strong relationships with stakeholders and undertaking robust conversations to ensure a high level of service delivery.
Strong resource management skills, including prioritizing tasks, working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team.
Leadership in communication and collaboration, guiding a team in preparing concise reports, briefings, and updates to support decision-making.
Applicants must have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Paramedicine or Health Science (Paramedic); or an Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Ambulance); OR a Certificate III in Ambulance Communications - Call Taking and a Certificate IV in Ambulance Communications - Dispatch and certification to practice as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher in Queensland; or equivalent qualifications, as determined by the Commissioner, QAS.
Applicants are required to hold an open Queensland 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
Position may require participation in shift work (including weekends and public holidays), on-call duties and undertake overtime.
Whilst not mandatory, a qualification in training and assessment will be highly regarded.
