    • About the role
    • As the Team Leader, you will provide leadership and support to your team with the aim to give children and young people a positive journey through residential care.

      Your days will be varied, however, your core duties will include :

    • Actioning referrals for young people to be placed within the relevant programs, while formulating transition plans and inductions for new residents;
    • Overseeing the facilitation of individualised care plans for all children and young people, which reflects their case plans and care requirements;
    • Overseeing the initial and ongoing assessment, planning, delivery and review of strategies that address the care and development needs of young people across all life domains;
    • Managing all aspects of the workforce within your area of responsibility;
    • Ensuring associated legislative and external reporting requirements are met.
    • Remuneration for this role is $47.86 - $49.97 per hour commensurate with experience.

    • To be suitable for this position, your qualifications for the role will consist of :

    • A Degree qualification in Social / Behavioural Sciences or related discipline;
    • An applied knowledge and understanding of child protection and out-of-home care Frameworks;
    • Solid experience in leading a multidisciplinary team in a child protection context;
    • An applied knowledge of financial management systems and budgeting;
    • A current driver's licence - P2 minimum;
    • Demonstrated experience in the provision of care services to children and young people in statutory care;
    • Experience working with children who live with trauma or disability will be highly regarded;
    • National Police check, or the ability to obtain.
