Summary :

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. This position is relevant in all industries and requires a commitment to helping others.

Responsibilities :

Provide emotional and physical support to individuals in need

Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

Help individuals with meal preparation and feeding

Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals

Accompany individuals to appointments and activities

Maintain accurate records of services provided

Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals

Monitor and report any changes in an individual's condition

Provide a safe and comfortable environment for individuals

Based on an integrated service delivery system Focus Connect's programs are specifically tailored through five broad service areas : children, youth, family, aged and disability.

All candidates must meet the following criteria :

Current and valid Working With Children Check clearance (or willing to obtain)

Current and valid full Driver’s Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle

Current and valid First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)

Cleared National Criminal History check (or willing to obtain)

OR current and cleared NDIS Worker Check

Experience working within Aged Care or Disability Services

Ability to work within a team and also autonomously

Working rights in Australia

Smartphone to access rostering application

Compassionate and patient demeanor

Desirable Criteria :

Fluent in either of the following languages; Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic.

MR licence and ability to drive a bus
