About the role

AGL has a newly created opportunity for Manager Operations Diagnostics & Analytics to lead our Operations Diagnostics & Analytics team.

Based in Melbourne, this team is seeking a dynamic operations leader with strong leadership experience in the energy industry to spearhead operations diagnostics, advanced analytics and performance optimisation. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to guide cross-functional teams, foster collaboration among asset engineers, maintenance teams, and operators, by leveraging operations data and analytical tools to provide performance insights and predictive modelling to improve operations performance and maintenance strategies. Additionally, this position requires a forward-thinking approach to align data-driven decision-making with AGL’s commitment to delivering its energy transition strategy.

What you’ll be doing :

• Leading a team of highly qualified energy industry engineers
• Drive the Operations Diagnostics & Analytics team to support sites with plant and process optimisation
• Identify opportunities for data-driven insights through strong stakeholder relationships with operational sites.
• Acting as the functional leader of a team of engineers that develop sophisticated models and applications to support advanced analytics engineering and converting insights to drive performance value.
• Lead a team of technical specialists to develop strategies that utlise AI, ML and LLM applications to improving maintenance strategies and improved operations performance
• Leading and developing the team with your strong leadership in the energy industry.
