Job descriptionState Government Departments | based in the city New Year start, 6-month contracts 43.40-48.16p / hr + super Process invoices received by the Department for payment through the Accounts Payable system, in accord with Council policies. Reconcile supplier statements and resolving amounts shown as being outstanding from previous statements. Preparation of the weekly, monthly, and quarterly reconciliation and ageing reports of creditors. Assist with the other areas of financial accounting including processing of banking transactions, journals, bank file uploads, checking of creditor payment proposals, and other duties as required in the department. Maintain an efficient and effective Accounts Receivable system with strong internal controls. Provide a high level of customer service to management, staff, and customers in respect of debtor invoicing and collections. Prepare accurate and timely reports, on a regular basis, in respect of debtors, bad debts and provision for doubtful debts. Reconcile all debtor control accounts. Resolve all debtor queries and follow up on outstanding and overdue invoices. Considerable knowledge of accounts payable / account receivable processes and sound knowledge of the relevant legislation. Demonstrated experience in accounts payable functions with large ERP systems. Experience in local / state government or NFP space. WORD copy of your CV.
