  • About the role :

    The Organisational Capability team is currently seeking a Specialist Projects Training & Capability to join them on a 4 / 3; 4 / 3; 8 / 6 FIFO roster based at the Roy Hill Mine. Reporting to the Manager Training , you will be responsible for providing support in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs and projects, ensuring alignment with Roy Hill’s operational excellence and compliance standards.

    Duties :

    • Lead the development and execution of projects that support and build on the Training and Competency Framework
    • Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of existing training systems and procedures for project alignment
    • Provide strategic guidance in the development of training and assessment materials for projects.
    • Update training and assessment materials to reflect project changes and requirements.
    • Collaborate with operations to develop project-focused training plans and pathways.
    • Work with peer specialists to standardise training practices across projects and implement learnings.
    • Conduct audits of Training and Competency Frameworks and Learning Management Systems, reporting findings to Centre and Operations
    • Mentoring Trainer & Assessors and OJT / OJAs
    • Skills and Experience :

    • Cert IV in Training and Assessment
    • Sound knowledge of a Training and Competency Management Framework that includes the learning management system (SuccessFactors)
    • Experience in managing projects that improve training systems and / or training effectiveness.
    • Project Management certification
    • Experience within the mining industry
    • Experience in auditing and report writing
    • Very strong people skills with high influencing, negotiating, counselling, and networking skills.
