Job description

We are seeking active, caring, calm-natured and reliable independent female Support Workers to become part of a close-knit team. We promote a friendly workplace where you will be valued and are actively playing a part in making a difference to a young woman's life on a daily basis.

This position is providing in-home and community support to a 40-year-old woman in Cleveland with severe and permanent intellectual disability and Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy. Mobility is impaired, so a wheelchair and walking aid is required both inside and outside of the home.

The individual is a vibrant and active young woman who flourishes socially, loves being part of group activities and socialising with her friends and family. She loves to have fun and laugh with people and enjoys those who fully engage with her.

You will be assisting with :

In-home supportMeal preparationHome and cleaning dutiesManaging complex and challenging behaviours1 : 1 assistance with activities and programsTransport and community access (in participants own car).Transport to appointmentsAdministration tasksShopping Previous experience with intellectual and physical disabilities would be highly regarded, but not essential. Full training will be provided. Empathy and understanding towards the disabilities of the individual is a key requirement.

Shifts :

Fridays Overnight - 4pm - 9amSundays - 9am - 4pmFlexibility / adaptability to fill in shifts when other workers are on leavePay Rates :

Monday to Friday 6 AM to 8 PM : $39.75 per hourMonday to Friday 8 PM to 6 AM : $44.52 per hourSaturday : $55.65 per hourSunday : $71.55 per hourPublic Holidays : $87.45 per hourSleepover allowance : $90.00 per shiftThe successful applicant will :
