Warehouse Assistant

Socrates Distributors is a proud, family-owned and operated food and beverage, sales, and distribution business.

We are the largest independent beverage distributor within Australia, servicing the Sydney market for over 30 years.

We currently employ more than 50 staff and service over 5000 customers in the Greater Sydney Metro area. Our geographical reach spans from Palm Beach, West to the Blue Mountains, and South to Wollongong.

We have a particularly strong presence in the CBD, all Sydney beaches, and commercial hubs.

• About the role

This role will primarily require you to receipt inwards goods, pick, pack & dispatch our products to our valuable customers. As an essential link in our supply-chain you will be conscientious with high attention to detail and the ability to carry out duties and follow procedures in an accurate, timely and safe manner.

• Hours are

10 : 00am to 6 : 30pm, Monday to Friday. No weekend work is required!

• Main responsibilities
• Goods warehousing including incoming and outgoing stock
• Responsible for physical inventory accuracy and stock level
• Operating forklift (existing licence preferred)
• Picking stock General Labour
• Unloading and loading trucks
• Warehouse organisation
• Facility cleaning and maintenance
• Stock taking
• Skills Required
• Basic computer skills
• Great attention to detail
• Accurate selection of stock required for orders
• Independent and dependable
• Forklift license would be ideal (but not essential)
• Physically fit and healthy
• Solutions focused
• Driver's license

NB : We also have casual warehouse assistant roles available.
