  • About the role
  • We are looking for potential female placement student for Perth location.

    We are excited to offer Placement opportunities for students eager to gain valuable industry experience with us. While we strive to provide enriching and practical learning experiences, please note that we may not be able to assist with Skill Assessment as per ACWA guidelines.

    Work Placement means that the Placement Student agrees to perform all tasks assigned on a voluntary basis, of the student own free will. The placement student will not receive remuneration for any work that is undertaken under this Placement.

    • Key Responsibilities
    • Support participants to work towards achieving their individual goals.
    • Support daily living, promoting cooking, housekeeping, hygiene, shopping, Medication administration, community access etc.
    • Support participants in building their confidence.
    • Liaise and collaborate with clients, their community and community & disability support agencies.
    • Monitor and review the participant's progress through the service and against the support plan.
    • Utilize positive behavior strategies
    • Support clients to participate in age-appropriate activities and tasks, including employment, in-home disability support and community access.
    • Work in accordance with the medication administration policy, work health and safety procedures and client rights policies, including privacy and confidentiality.
    • Monitor the safety and well-being of people with disability and report any concerns to the Manager.
    • Ensure completion of appropriate documentation. As required, relevant information on disability support will be recorded in client notes and communication books.
    • Liaise extensively with other staff to ensure the overall smooth and consistent running of the disability services.
    • Report regularly to the Manager
    • Skills & Experience
    • Qualification preferably in community / disability / individual support / aged care / Mental Health and / or preferably with relevant experience.

      Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
