Cleaner (Casual)

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaner to support NDIS participants with maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment. This position is ideal for someone who aligns with the core values of dignity, respect, and empowerment, and who meets the requirements typically expected of an NDIS support worker.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform domestic cleaning tasks, including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping, dusting, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and waste removal.
• Ensure the participant's home environment remains hygienic, safe, and welcoming.
• Follow individual cleaning schedules and tasks based on participant needs and preferences.
• Report any concerns regarding the home environment or participant wellbeing to the relevant coordinator or supervisor.
• Maintain privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with participants, families, and other support team members.
• Adhere to the NDIS Code of Conduct and any relevant policies or procedures.
• Requirements
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Working with Children Check (if applicable).
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
• Strong understanding of infection control and safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to empowering people with disabilities and supporting their independence.
• Full COVID-19 vaccination (in accordance with health directives).
• Current Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle (if required for location).

Desirable :

Previous experience working as a cleaner in an NDIS or disability support environment.

Knowledge of and sensitivity to the needs of people with disabilities.

Employment Conditions :

3 hours per day, twice weekly (specific days and times to be arranged with participant).

Paid in accordance with [relevant award rate, with cleaning award)
